Description
The Brian De Palma directed film 'Scarface' was released FORTY years ago, in 1983. Oliver Stone wrote the screenplay. The movie is bloody and violent, but also thought-provoking and gripping. It showcases the talents of actors Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer, as well as Steven Bauer, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and Robert Loggia. It's still loved to this very day, and considered to be one of the best gangster films of all time!
In 2003, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of that classic film, the soundtrack album was released on vinyl. It's actually various artists, but producer Giorgio Moroder did all of the music for the movie. It also features songs by such artists as Elizabeth Daily, Beth Anderson, Paul Engemann, Deborah Harry (of Blondie), and Giorgio Moroder himself. The vinyl came out on standard black vinyl, and also on picture disc LP! In today's great deal, you'll get a rare copy of that picture disc 12" album, as only a limited number of these were made!
This comes in its original sleeve. The A side of the pic disc is Tony Montana sitting at his desk with big piles of blow, and the B side is the Montana motto 'The World Is Yours'! I purchased this used, but the vinyl is still all shiny and clean. It may have never even been played. Outer jacket has a few spots of light shelf-wear, but nothing too bad. (See pics of that.) An awesome collectible, and when they (occasionally) pop up here on eBay, they go for big buck$. But no price gouging here today! Get this very cool vinyl picture disc, and at a really nice price. But don't wait too long. With the holidays banging on the door, this won't be around for very long!
