Description

So, I will start with what I know. I purchased this copy of Diamond Life in a collection about 5 years ago. The person was certainly a Sade collector as there were many other Sade items. The matrix here matches the US Pressing AL-39581 3-C (Mastering By Frankford/Wayne New York stamped) Herbie Jr. g-2 Then d-168-a.


The sleeve appears to be all blue print on thinner, white cardboard. Because of the label and jacket, I assumed this to be a Hong Kong/Taiwan pressing but i have compared it to others i have and typically the matrix do not match, nor have i found any record of this selling.


I would visually grade the record at VG/VG I have played it and it plays through and sounds good despite some surface wear.


Here’s what I don’t know…definitively what this is. I would lean toward it being a test pressing at some point in the production only because the matrix matches and I can find no other record of it. If you have more information or have seen this before, please let me know.
