SYMPATHY NERVOUS -S/T LP (VANITY RECORDS) 1980 COVER VG+ / VINYL: M-
Now one of the rarest minimal synth titles from anywhere, this legendary Japanese proto-electro gem on the hyper collectible Vanity label offers volley after volley of machine-punched percolations, serrated electronics, strafed metallic timbres and nascent sequenced electropop interventions ala Severed Heads. The vinyl’s a lovely clean M- while the cover is VG+, as there’s a sticker tear on the top right that’s been blacked in with marker to disguise it and measures just larger than a standard price sticker (see photo), though there's a minor amount of spine wear too, and the ghost of ringwear just starting to emerge. This is nonetheless a very nice copy, especially given the fantastic vinyl condition and of course, given the impossible rarity of the album itself.
