Sviatoslav Richter -- Sviatoslav Richter At Carnegie Hall: All Beethoven Performance 2xLP

Recorded in actual performance October 19, 1960

Original 1961 US High Fidelity mono release on Columbia Masterworks Records (catalog # M2L 272, grey/black labels with six 'eyes', 1K/1C/1A/1B stampers), with gatefold sleeve.

This is a flawless copy of this rare mono-only double-album set of Richter's legendary 1960 Carnegie Hall debut. The Canfield Guide says this release was a "suppressed issue."

    Side 1: Sonata No. 3 In C Major, Op. 2, No. 3 Side 2: Sonata No. 9 In E Major, Op. 14, No. 1 Sonata No. 22 In F Major, Op. 54 Side 3: Sonata No. 12 In A-flat Major, Op. 26 Side 4: Sonata No. 23 In F Minor, Op. 57 ("Appassionata")

CONDITION: Cover NM- / Vinyl MINT-   cover is sharp and crisp, with a nice shiny gloss and only slight wear, a few little bubbles under the laminate and a very small pen mark on the back; vinyl is very near absolutely pristine, no spindle marks, appears unplayed, I have not play-graded it, but visually all four sides appear flawless.

Graded conservatively using Goldmine standards [G / G+ / VG / VG+ / NM / ]
grade only used if record is brand new.

All records are packaged securely, protected by both stiff and cushion packaging, with vinyl (in original innersleeve) removed from cover and placed safely in poly sleeve to help prevent seam splitting during transit.
