This auction, as detailed above, is for a starter set of 86 DIFFERENT original SUN 45RPM records. Virtually all(except for 3) of the records are in unplayed MINT condition. They are noted by the grades in the VG range. The rest all have an "M" designation - Denoting a MINT, unplayed copy. There are 86 different records.SUN records were issued from 1955 to 1967; the year the label was sold. Each of these records is the original pressing, not a reissue or bootleg of any sort. EACH record will also include an original SUN company record sleeve. While the early issues were originally sold in plain brown sleeves, many collectors prefer the graphics of the SUN company sleeve. Again, these are all original issues, not reissues or later pressings.
The SUN label from Memphis, Tennessee will always be the most important independent record label and a cornerstone of Rockabilly, Rock and Roll and postwar Blues. To obtain these original records one-by-one would be time-consuming and expensive-Many of these 45's are in price guides for $25-$50 each and some such as the Jean Chapel are much higher. Here is a unique chance to get an excellent start and/or upgrade many of your current copies. And at a price of just $10 EACH!
Condition: Each record is carefully examined and selected as Mint unplayed with clean, bright, perfect labels. The 3 non-Mint 45's are only very lightly played and still have flawless labels. None of the records have any warps, scratches or other issues.
No reissues, bootlegs - All originals
Guaranteed conservative grading using Goldmine / Discoveries record grading definitions
