Master of Puppets is the third studio album by the American thrash metal band Metallica. It was released on February 24, 1986, and was the band's last album to feature bassist Cliff Burton, who died in a bus crash in Sweden while touring to promote the album. The album peaked at number 29 on the Billboard 200 and became the first thrash metal album to be certified platinum. In 2003, it was certified 6× platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), having shipped six million copies in the United States. 

Master of Puppets was released to rave reviews from music critics and has been included in several publications' best album lists. Its driving, virtuosic music and angry, political lyrics drew praise from critics outside of the metal community. The album is widely accepted as the band's strongest effort at the time, serving as one of the most influential heavy metal albums of all time. Many bands from all genres of heavy metal have covered the album's songs throughout the years, including tribute albums as well. Readers of Rolling Stone voted it as "The #1 Greatest Heavy Metal Album Of All Time."

The front cover depicts a cemetery field of white crosses tethered to strings, manipulated by a pair of hands in a blood-red sky. The album's cover concept was designed by Metallica and Peter Mensch, while the cover artwork was painted by Don Brautigam, who also worked with bands such as AC/DC, ZZ Top, and The Rolling Stones. The original artwork was later auctioned at Rockefeller Plaza, New York City for between $20,000 and $30,000.

Released in 1967, Disraeli Gears is the second studio album by the first rock ‘supergroup’ Cream (Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker) and the name of the album famously came from a malapropism. During a conversation about racing bikes, one of their roadies, a certain Mick Turner, made reference to Disraeli gears instead of Derailleur gears, which was greeted with hilarity and the group decided to use that as the title of the album.

Something of a departure from their blues roots, Disraeli Gears perfectly captured the mood of the period with a powerful array of psychedelic rockers, reached number 5 in the UK Charts and was Cream’s breakthrough release in the US, hitting number 4 in the Billboard 200. It was all recorded in three and a half days at Atlantic Studios, New York, in the presence of Atlantic Records (to whom they were signed in the US) boss Ahmet Ertegun, following nine shows as part of the Music in the 5th Dimension concert series. Their work visas expired on the last day of recording.

The sleeve was designed by Australian artist Martin Sharp, who lived in the same building as Eric Clapton, The Pheasantry in Chelsea. Sharp also co-wrote the lysergic tour-de-force Tales Of Brave Ulysses with Clapton and described the music on the album as a "warm fluorescent sound". His artwork was an attempt to represent this visually and is acknowledged to be one of the finest ‘acid rock’ designs of the era.

This record was cut using a special technique known as half-speed mastering. This artisan process results in cuts that have superior high frequency response (treble) and very solid and stable stereo images. In short, a very high quality master that helps to create a very high quality record.

Absolutely Live is the first live album released by The Doors in 1970. Many shows were recorded during the 1970 tour to create the "Absolutely Live" album. The Doors producer, and long time collaborator Paul Rothchild carefully edited the album from many different shows to create one cohesive concert.

Some fans witnessed these performances firsthand, others vicariously through the headlines that seemed to follow every incendiary show. For all, Absolutely Live! emerged as the document of a band pushing the limits of what was possible on stage...and in rock 'n' roll itself.

Rock 'n' Roll is the sixth studio album by John Lennon. Released in 1975, it is an album of late 1950s and early 1960s songs as covered by Lennon. Phil Spector produced sessions in October 1973 at A&M Studios, and Lennon produced sessions in October 1974 at Record Plant Studios (East). The album reached number 6 in both the United Kingdom and the United States, later being certified gold in both countries. It was supported by the single "Stand by Me," which peaked at number 20 in the US, and 30 in the UK. The cover was taken by Jürgen Vollmer during the Beatles' stay in Hamburg. It was Lennon's last album until 1980.

The album was remastered from John Lennon’s original mixes in 2010 by a team of engineers led by Allan Rouse at Abbey Road Studios in London and by George Marino at Avatar Studios in New York. The new vinyl master was cut by Sean Magee at Abbey Road Studios and the LP has been manufactured for the world by Optimal Media in Germany.

This 180g vinyl reissue of the 1975 classic album is an authentic reproduction of its U.K. original, in its sound and visual presentation.

Originally released by Atlantic Records in 1965, "In The Midnight Hour" was Wilson Pickett's first album. It includes his classic song of the same name, as well as "Come Home Baby," "I Found A Love," "Don't Fight It" and others. On this album, he is backed by the Stax rhythm section, an ensemble that would be help define soul music during much of the 1960s. This album hit #3 on the Billboard Black Albums' chart, and the song "Don't Fight It" charted at #53 on their Pop Singles' chart and #4 on the Black Singles' chart. With his recent death this piece of vinyl will be a lasting memory of Wilson Pickett's as one of "The Soul Music Pioneers".

The group's second album is a less impressive outing than their debut, primarily because, at the urging of their managers, all four members penned original material though wrote more than anyone else). Still, there's some great madness on instrumental "Cobwebs and Strange," and delivered some solid mod pop with "Run Run Run" and "So Sad About Us." was also revealed to be a writer of considerable talent (and a morbid bent) on "Whiskey Man" and "Boris the Spider."
