I've been digging out a few more rare Studio One 12 inch disco 45s this week. Here's what's on offer this time:

Artist: THE JAY TEES (A)/THE GAYLADS (B)

Title: COME TO ME (A)/SLIPPING AND SLIDING (B)

Label/Number: (JA) STUDIO 1 ('ROSETTE' DESIGN - NO NUMBER) -released c. 1981

Condition of Labels: Clean as the day the record was pressed

Condition of vinyl: Jamaican Mint Minus,which means it has all the usual 'charm' of a 70s/80s Studio One pressing. It's only had one owner from new - me! - and it's been played no more than half a dozen times in 25+ years, so you'd be hard pressed to find a better one!

Comments: The Berry Sisters ride Slim Smith's 1968 "Rougher Yet" riddim up top - in the wake of Lone Ranger's massive success with 'Love Bump'. Down below is an extended cut of a nice, late 1966 Gaylads tune with Delano Stewart on lead vocal - the better side, if you want my opinion, although both are really good! More great value for money for the Studio One 12 inch Disco 45 collector...
