Stompers, Stompin' Round The Xmas Tree b/w Forgive Me, Gone 5120, white label promo. Year of release is 1962. This is a listing for a rare copy of this highly sought after Doowop 45, considered by many to be the rarest White Doowop single. It was arranged and conducted by Vinnie Catalano. Audio Matrix is machine stamped in the deadwax of both sides. Stompin' Round The Xmas Tree has FJK + BUN and G-835-1 hand etched in the dead wax. Forgive Me has F + YJK and 838 hand etched in the dead wax. The record visually grades as VG+ to VG++ under a POWERFUL HALOGEN LAMP. The record play grades as VG+ to VG++ on the Stompin' Round The Xmas Tree side while the Forgive Me side plays a strong VG+ (nearly but not quite as well as the Stompin' Round The Xmas Tree side. The record is made of vinyl and not styrene. There is a rather neat laminated label at the center right of the Stompin' Round The Xmas Tree side. I have no idea what, if anything, may be under the sticker but have made the choice not to attempt to remove it. Check out the sound bytes (recorded from the actual record itself, raw, unprocessed, and including trail-ins). Be sure to use the volume control to the right of the part of timing that appears in red. Otherwise, the byte will play too softly. The record is made of vinyl and not styrene. The record was play graded on an audiophile system employing Basis Ovation, Graham Industries, Transfiguration (Phoenix), Sound Applications, and Jeff Rowland componentry.
