The STILL LIFE
'Still Life'
on the original Australian VERTIGO RECORDS 6360026 from 1971.
Some things to establish right from the start here - this is VERY likely to NOT be the same STILL LIFE that recorded a single on Parlophone in 1968. I have that here too, and there does not seem to be any relation in sound or style (though both are excellent, I must add!).
Next - this band is one of Vertigo's best releases (in my opinion, of course). Absolutely WONDERFUL gatefold cover art - the best and most psychedelic! The music is high quality throughout, and hasn't dated badly with the years. Cohesive, consistent, and not overdone in any way, to sound too deliberate or contrived (I find some prog has not aged well, and personally I can't listen to some of the simple, heavy bombastic stuff I used to think was great in 1971!).

The LP is in lovely condition! The vinyl is WONDERFUL NM-, visually and playing.
The surface has full superb shine, and only a couple of super-light marks visible under bright light - a little 'spider-web' visible, from the sleeve.
The lables are lovely and clean and bright white, with a smaller Vertigo 'swirl' on both sides above the titles.
The cool laminated psychedelic artwork cover is solid EX, a little wear here and there at the edge, only. It's an unusual one, because the disc comes from inside the centre, and the top gatefold is a single-card. The inside photo-art is non-laminated, black and white (in contrast to the brilliant colours of the outer art).
This is a very nice quality playing copy indeed!
