Description
This is a very unusual and I would imagine quite rare American vinyl 12 inch LP record. The Sounds of making a making a Motion Picture. Subtitled 'an Aural documentary of the making of THE SAND PEBBLES. This record is really so unusual, that I cant even tell you what record label if any it is on, and it has no catalogue number. It just says it is an Argyle-Solar production for release by 20th century fox, so presumably it was a bit of a novelty item strictly for film fans or even for radio stations, who might be able to use the audio clips for radio shows - okay, I havent a clue what I am talking about here - just guessing. The notes on the sleeve tell me that this is 'A Robert Wise film starring Steve McQueen, Richard (hello darlings) Attenborough (he narrates the record), Richard Crenna and Candice Bergen'. See scan for side one record label, side two is blank white. The vinyl looks absolutely perfect and I would guess unplayed, for the sake of not misleading you I will down grade it to excellent plus. The cover is the typical American stiff card and is just slightly faded at the edging. The front cover has some creasing but otherwise still in very good bordering on excellent condition. The bottom right hand corner of the sleeve has split very slightly but otherwise fully intact.
