LABEL = VERTIGO - PLAIN WHITE LABELS

Cat No = 6641 580

ORIGINAL UK WHITE LABEL PROMO VINYL ALBUM. DOUBLE ALBUM (2 x 12" DISCS). All 4 labels are plain white. There is handwriting on each label simply stating RECORD 1 SIDE 1, RECORD 1 SIDE 2, RECORD 2 SIDE 1 and RECORD 2 SIDE 2.

This is the original pair of white label test pressings from 1977. The records were originally sent out from the pressing plant in 2 plain white inner sleeves. These are both with the records and are dated FEB 1977.

There certainly aren't many sets of these around. Certainly no more than 12 to 15 copies. They would have been sent from the pressing plant as test pressings and presented to band members and management for approval before commiting to a full print run. Of the dozen or so copies that were manufactured a handful would have been sent out to vital PR and PRESS agencies as this was one of the most eagerly awaited albums of 1977.
