Description
IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, this is the RARE AND OUT OF PRINT (ONLY 1 000 WERE MADE !) first album from the legendary Boston straight edge band SS Decontrol (stands for Society System Decontrol), also known as SSD, "The Kids Will Have Their Say" LP, complete WITH THE RARE LYRIC SHEET, released in 1982. THIS IS THE REAL OFFICIAL 45 RPM RELEASE ON X-CLAIM / DISCHORD RECORDS WITH THE RIGID CARDBOARD LYRIC SHEET, NOT THE CHEAP 33 RPM BOOTLEG RELEASED WITH THE LABEL NAMES ALTERED AS "EX-CLAIM/DISCORD" AND A SOFT PAPER LYRIC SHEET. It has "X-1-A", "X1-B", "HUB" and "MASTERDISK HW" written in the dead wax, proving this is a true original and not the worthless bootleg reissue made illegally a few years ago. It features the legendary cover picture by Phil N Phlash of straight edge attacking the Massachusetts Capitol! Released after their unfindable 1981 demo "How Much Art", this is the record that started it all for this band that was founded by guitar player Al Barile, who was influenced by D.C. bands the Bad Brains and S.O.A.. On this record SS Decontrol was still a four piece with Springa on Vocals, Al Barile on Guitar (Who also played in Gage), Jamie Sciarappa (who also played in Slapshot and My Eye) on bass and Chris Foley (who also played in Crime and Punishment, Bulkhead, Jennifer Trynin and Star Ghost Dog) on drums. That was before they added François Lévesque on second guitar! This album was produced by Mike Bastarache and co-produced by Lou Giordano, Engineered by Larry Lessard and Recorded at Active Sound and Radiobeat from December 1981 to May 1982. Features graphics by Bridget Burpee.Track listing: 1. Boiling Point 2. Fight Them 3. Do You Even Care 4. Not Normal 5. Wasted Youth 6. Jock Itch 7. Fun To You 8. V.A. 9. How Much Art 10.
