Please read my description carefully before bidding.  I will ship the item worldwide and will accept a free return if it doesn't match the listing description.


This one is the first mono pressing of Sonny Rollins' THE SOUND OF SONNY. Riverside Records RLP 12-241. This is an original issue from Riverside Records, issued in 1957, not a reissue version.  White Labels and Deep Groove on both labels.  Very Rare in this condition.


Sonny Rollins (tenor saxophone), Sonny Clark (piano), Percy Heath and Paul Chambers (bass), Roy Haynes (drums). 


The vinyl looks bright and glossy. Under the bright light, I saw some scuffs and small hairlines on Side 1.  I've played test this record on my system and it plays NM on both sides.    


The cover is rated NM-.  Strong.  Some dirts on the back cover and bump on upper left corner (see picture).  No split or crack.  The spine is intact and readable. Overall, nice.


The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-. You will be satisfied.
