Description

Please read my description carefully before bidding.  I will ship the item worldwide and will accept a free return if it doesn't match the listing description.

This one is the first mono pressing of Esquire Records 32-045 (PRLP-7029) "SAXOPHONE COLOSSUS" by SONNY ROLLINS.  The Esquire Records seem like a UK version of American Prestige Records.  They had got license from Prestige to use Prestige's master tapes (by Rudy Van Gelder) for their UK version. But with independent and different cover and label design.

The one is an original issue from Esquire Records, not a reissue version by OJC or Classic Records.  Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder in 1956, with "RVG" etched on the dead wax of both sides.

Artists Include Sonny Rollins (tenor saxophone), Tommy Flanagan (piano), Doug Watkins (bass), Max Roach (drums).

The vinyl played NM- on both sides with light pops during some passages. Music is very nice Esquire's round sound.

The back flip cover is VG+ due to its small split at the middle of its spine. Some dents.

The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.

My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-.

You will be satisfied.  And I will accept a free return.  Please bid with confidence.
