This is a reasonably priced 1988 Restless Records U.S. issue of the 1988 LP titled 'Live At the Proms 1970' from jazzy progressive rock pioneers Soft Machine. It is Restless Records U.S. catalog number RECK 5. Soft Machine on this LP are: Mike Ratledge-keyboards / Hugh Hopper-bass / Elton Dean-alto sax, saxello / Robert Wyatt-drums, vocals. This album was recorded by the BBC at The Royal Albert Hall, London, on August 13th, 1970 - Tracks: Out-Bloody-Rageous, Facelift, Esther's Nosejob: Pig / Orange Skin Food / A Door Opens And Closes / Pigling / 10-30 Returns To The Bedroom. Condition of record is a real nice NM- with just a couple of extremely light surface marks which are barely visible under strong light, cannot be felt, and do not affect play. Condition of cover is a high VG+ with a few small wrinkles, a little ring and contact wear, and a little wear along the edges and on the corners. There are no splits, tears, stickers, or writing. This LP would be a choice addition to any Soft Machine or early 1970s hard prog-rock record collection!
