Formed in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1984, Sloppy Seconds were the definition of punk rock shitheadedry at its finest and most purposefully provocative. A card-carrying Ramones-indebted self-described "junk rock band", the group would gain notoriety for their controversial lyricism touching on topics such as homophobia, pornography, obesity, alcohol and drug abuse, among many other sugary subjects. Inspired by the 1976 KISS LP Destroyer, the band would release their debut full-length Destroyed in 1989 with artwork even replicating the OG KISS version, while boasting some of their most envelope-pushing and equally adored/maligned cuts such as 'I Don't Wanna Be A Homosexual', 'Come Back, Traci' and 'Janie Is A Nazi'. Crafted without any initial label backing, once Toxic Shock heard early demos of the first four cuts, a deal was broached, making Sloppy Seconds available for the entire listening world to be offended.
