Description
SLIM HARPO LP TIP ON IN. This is an OG US STEREO PRESSING from 1968 on the EXCELLO LABEL #LP8008. Harpo was the coolest of the cool blues artists. He influenced the Britt invasion bands. The Moody Blues took their name from one of his songs, The Stones Got Live if you Want It was taken from Harpo's song I Got Love If You Want It. The Stones also covers his song Shake Your Hips. He was allowed to record only 3 LPs in the window of time allotted to blues artists, but he had been performing since the 40s, and released 45s earlier than the 3 long players. Of all the long players, this is the easiest to obtain, but it's not easy to get in this condition.
COVER NEAR MINT. It's STILL IN SHRINK, and a real beauty. There's a small cut in the shrink by the spine 4" down. There are a couple pieces of scotch tape, one on the back cover at opening for 2" from the bottom to secure the shrink. The other center bottom over the shrink for 2". The back cover whites are perfect.
VINYL NEAR MINT Looks and plays beautifully with great gloss and plays NEAR MINT.
