This obscure gem is jam-packed with classic snot-punk, loud guitars and obnoxious vocals. It includes scorching covers of Chuck Berry, The Beatles (just like The Damned, eh?), The Animals and The Monkees (just like the Pistols!). But it's their own tunes that are the real finds here. They are STUNNING!
Slander were a really short-lived group. They played a few gigs in Hamilton, Ontario, and at the legendary Turning Point in Toronto. They recorded this album at Daniel Lanois's Grant Avenue Studios, then promptly broke up because guitarist Crash went to jail for murder, which is why you never see this fantastic LP!
Bassist Chris Suicide, was also a member of The Dream Dates and the Forgotten Rebels, and drummer Ray Curse was in The Trouble Boys, The Florida Razors, and later Junkhouse (the last two with Tom Wilson).
