SHOTGUN EXPRESS
''I COULD FEEL THE WHOLE WORLD TURN ROUND" b/w "CURTAINS"

COLUMBIA RECORDS cat#

1966 Original issue 45

***********************************************************

ROD STEWART was getting plaudits even during the first MOD era, cutting pop rock singles in a vital British style.
Joining this cool group THE SHOTGUN EXPRESS was a good move - BERYL MARSDEN had been on a bill behind The Beatles indeed - and as mod chief went, she was the real deal!
Peter Bardens played keyboards like Brian Auger, then there was both Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood augmenting, pre Bluesbreakers and Fleetwood Mac.

I can't speak highly enough of this record, and it sank with very little notice - despite that it's an OUTSTANDING arrangement, wonderfully scored with beautiful strings, majestic!
Powerful and brilliant, and the harmonies from Rod and Beryl put shivers down the spine!!
I'll even say it's the best record Rod ever made, and just before he joined Jeff Beck's Group.

The did a fine job of this nice and upbeat, rare single.

The 60s were an astonishing period for the most imaginative music and fashion, but so many great bands made records that flopped in sales.

Here's a wonderful mid 60s UK 7", and an excellent player

**!! NOTE; THIS IS A LABLE MIS-PRESSING !!**
BOTH SIDES bear the flipside lable, so it's ''CURTAINS" on both sides
Some collectors like such rare mistakes - but either way there's the correct music pressed, just the lable is wrong on the 'A' side.

CONDITION;
The VINYL grades EXCELLENT, plays and sounds great.

Lables are EXCELLENT condition.
