Item Description:
     Norah Jones Come Away With Me comes as four single sided 200gm 45 RPM pressings. Track 1-4 is on LP A1, tracks 5-7 on LP A2, tracks 8-11 are on LP B1 and tracks 12-14 are on LP B2. All LPs arrive in heavy poly sleeves with LP A1 in the high quality gatefold cover. The gatefold cover (containing LP A1) and the remaining 3 LPs (in their poly sleeves) are housed in a red box with a sheet of bubble wrap below the 4th LP and above the gatefold cover. The set comes with a Classic Records response card. If you are familiar with Classic Records this is the same one that comes in all of their LPs. There also are a couple of marketing things inside to complete the package. The distincive redbox has a white band horizontally centered around the box with a small adhesive dot on the rear holding the white band in place. The whole package is sealed in shrink wrap and has a couple of stickers affixed identifying the pressing type, etc.  Clarity vinyl pressings are a translucent milky white color. The unpressed side of all four LPs has the Classic Record name etched into the flat surface and other markings letting you know what you have in hand. The labels were centered well on all four LPs and the unpressed sides include a stroboscope type label to assist in checking your turntable's speed if you need such a thing.       All LPs were trimmed well and absolutely flat. The packaging and pressing quality is the best I have seen since the demise of MoFi's UHQR series of heavy weight LPs. This is as high praise that I can give any vinyl product.  The sonics on this pressing were nothing short of amazing.  This pressing includes all of the qualities a serious audiophile seeks.  Every aspect of the performance is there in beautiful detail and each noise, whatever the source, and however subtle, is included and distinctly conveyed.  The quietness of the Clarity vinyl will be valued by many audiophiles for many years.  I had high hopes for this series and have not been dissappointed.

Album Description:
     Norah Jones's debut on Blue Note is a mellow, acoustic pop affair with soul and country overtones, immaculately produced by the great Arif Mardin. (It's pretty much an open secret that the 22-year-old vocalist and pianist is the daughter of Ravi Shankar.) Jones is not quite a jazz singer, but she is joined by some highly regarded jazz talent: guitarists Adam Levy, Adam Rogers, Tony Scherr, Bill Frisell, and Kevin Breit; drummers Brian Blade, Dan Rieser, and Kenny Wolleson; organist Sam Yahel; accordionist Rob Burger; and violinist Jenny Scheinman. Her regular guitarist and bassist, Jesse Harris and Lee Alexander, respectively, play on every track and also serve as the chief songwriters. Both have a gift for melody, simple yet elegant progressions, and evocative lyrics. (Harris made an intriguing guest appearance on Seamus Blake's Stranger Things Have Happened.) Jones, for her part, wrote the title track and the pretty but slightly restless "Nightingale." She also includes convincing readings of Hank Williams's "Cold Cold Heart," J.D. Loudermilk's "Turn Me On," and Hoagy Carmichael's "The Nearness of You." There's a touch of Rickie Lee Jones in Jones's voice, a touch of Bonnie Raitt in the arrangements; her youth and her piano skills could lead one to call her an Alicia Keys for grown-ups. While the mood of This record stagnates after a few songs, it does give a strong indication of Jones' alluring talents. - David R. Adler

     The genesis of the new formula came as a result of a visit to High End Audio's self proclaimed Vinyl Guru Michael Fremer's Analog Laboratory. Mr. Fremer demonstrated a Furutech LP demagnetizer. After using the demagnetizer, vocals had so much more texture, bass definition and clarity of every nuance of the recording was vastly improved and there was more low level information than we had ever heard in the recording.      Why did the demagnetizer had the sonic effects on a record? Very simply the carbon black that is added to vinyl for LP manufacture contains trace metals that become randomly magnetized and interfere electrically with the cartridge hanging overhead during play.  So... if carbon black and the trace metals contained therein caused playback distortion in the cartridge then why not take out the carbon black altogether? Classic Records Clarity SV-P II Clear Vinyl is the answer!
     Clarity Vinyl represents the ultimate in vinyl formulations because it is comprised of over 90 percent of the highest quality co-polymer available – a key component in vinyl pellets used for manufacturing vinyl records. Further, Clarity Vinyl has no carbon black additive, common in vinyl formulas for LPs. Carbon black contains trace metals that become magnetized and cause "electrical distortions" in cartridges during playback that smears the sound. By taking out the Carbon Black, Classic Records is able to dramatically reduce the "electrical distortions" and thus bring more "Clarity" to the playback process, providing a more realistic musical experience to the listener and LP enthusiast. 45-RPM records have long been recognized as providing a higher fidelity musical experience resulting purely from the cartridge being able to extract more of the nuance from the complex vertical and horizontal groove modulations in stereo LPs. Further, Classic Records 45-RPM single-sided pressings dramatically reduce the mechanical resonances created by the cartridge during playback by allowing these resonances to be more fully transmitted to and absorbed by the turntable platter. Item will be carefully packaged to ensure that you will receive it in the condition described.  I take great care as a collector myself in packaging my items for shipment.  I use professional packing material that can withstand even the rigors of international shipping.  I generally sell mint condition collectible vinyl and even though I am selling it; as a collector I still do not want to see it damaged in any way, so rest assured that your purchase or rather investment will be well protected.  If item is not sealed I ship vinyl outside of the cover to avoid seam splits in transit. 

All international shipping will be done USPS First Class International or USPS International Priority depending on the country. NM- = Near Mint Minus:

Record looks and sounds very acceptable. This is a record that can be enjoyed. It may have some slight visible marks and may have surface noise and a few ticks and pops, but this will still be minimal.

 VG = Very Good:

Record looks and sounds used. This record has lots of surface noise and has visible scratches. For listening or collecting it is only good as "filler".

 + = Plus: (such as VG+)
