After much delay this fabulous comendium of one of Chicago’s most inspiring operators is finally here. Joe's musical career (currently spanning 20 years) began at a local skating rink, which he renamed "THE LOOP MACHINE" where he organised packed to capacity parties every Friday and Saturday. Special guests would often include House legends such as Frankie Knuckles, Steve "Silk" Hurley and Farley "Jackmaster" Funk. Following the popularity of The Loop Machine, Joe opened his own split floor club 'The Jungle Club'. Joe first started releasing songs under the name Joe R Lewis in the mid to late eighties. His first release on his own newly formed Target Record label "The Love Of My Own" was in fact a secret collaboration with Larry Heard, aka 'Mr. Fingers', and the original version 'The Love Of Jamie' was originally to be sung by Byron Walton aka Jamie Principal. He followed this release with 2 more EP's; 'Change Reaction' and 'Lost In Tracks', all three of these classic and hard to find EP's confirmed Joe as one of Chicago's most talented and underrated producers. Highly recommended for all deep warehouse heads
