THE EXKURSIONS   About the Exkursions: The Exkursions were formed in Chicago in  1968. Mike and Fyl were in the original group and were later joined by Leon in 1969. The group sound was spawned our of Chicagos own particular blend of Jazz, blues, and rock. It has since matured, along with the group's experience of life. The most critical factor in their music today is a relationship to Jesus, the Messiah. Their commitment to Him has brought a new sound, a new hope, and  new way. They have toured extensively throughout the colleges and universities of the Eastern USA. In 1970 and 1971 the Exkursions were the featured attraction at Fort Lauderdale during Easter week. Fly Jonnzen-Chicago 7-27-44 Leon Wilson- Frog Holler N.C.   10-3-48 Mike Johnson-Chicago  10-11-45 (From The Acid Archives Book) Pretty irresistable Christian bluesy guitarpsych exkursion featuring the prolific Mike Johnson in his younger days as a bible-carrying Hendrix epigon. Has to be one of the coolest x-ian LPs of all time, with a confident power trio groove, laidback Jimi-style vocals, and several truly great tracks like "Third Eye". If you weren’t paying attention, you wouldn’t notice that this is a Christian album, which is a good sign. Mike Johnson is a truly talented guitarist and a few songs here have a fuzz sound to die for. ...for the most part this is solid hard rock and one of the best in the Christian realm.

VINYL GRADING Cover Condition:  SEALED!! (NM) Shrink is nice and tight with no tears. Cover has very light ring wear. Corners are nice and still mostly square. Really nice album! SIDE A GRADE DESCRIPTION - VISUAL SS=M

GRADING SYSTEM

PLEASE READ GRADING SCALE AT THE BOTTOM FOR COMPLETE GUIDE ON OUR GRADING SYSTEM BEFORE BIDDING!  Most albums are graded Visually and/or audibly. We will specify both due to the fact that albums may look one way but play another.

SS = MINT 

Stilled Sealed with shrink wrap intact. Never opened so never played. Perfect. 

NM = NEAR MINT 

VINYL-  Near mint, or unplayed condition, perfect gloss, NO MARKS.

AUDIO- wonderful sound quality NO noise at all. 

COVER- is nice and new looking with little defects and no ring wear.

VG++  EXTREMELY  GOOD

VISUALLY- Slight signs of wear;  high gloss, very clean, very few very light cover  usage surface marks. One or two extremely light, nontangible, hairline needle marks that do not effect sound quality at all.  

AUDIO-  Barely any audible noise at all- occasional soft static mostly in the beginning and ending dead wax areas. 

COVER- has little wear -slightly wore corners- glossy pictures, very faint ring wear-still in good collectible condition.

VG+  VERY GOOD PLUS VISUALLY-  light to moderate surface wear such as overall cover usage marks and several light needle marks that are non tangible, some light scuffing, light gloss. AUDIO-  has light noticeable  noise or occasional soft crackling or occasional pop. Sound quality is still good. COVER-  has moderate wear such as bending or cutouts, noticeable beginnings of ring wear or beginnings of a seam split.

VG  VERY GOOD

VISUAL-  overall  wear with little gloss, cover usage marks heavy, needle marks that are not deep but may be able to be felt, some moderate scuffing. 

AUDIO-  no serious defects, moderate noticeable continuous crackling during play that is noisier during quiet passages. More than average pops and snaps, but no skips. 

COVER- well worn, overall normal ring wear,bad seam splits, and bends, possible small amount of water damage.

G  NOT GOOD

Heavy wear on record with extreme amount of cover usage marks-heavy scratches that are easily felt, with skips, and a lot of noise. Cover very worn, large tears,  heavy amount of water damage, heavy writing, heavy ring wear. We will not give guarantee or refunds on

VG- or worse condition records. Normally you will only find these albums in our store for you to purchase for hole fillers.
