1969 uk Philips (Stereo SBL-7882). Super rare earliest uk white label TEST PRESS first issue of 'Scott Walker's' 3rd uk solo album, only a handful of these earliest advance white label test issues would have ever been pressed, and I've never seen another for sale. The first press stereo vinyl Is of excellent thick heavy quality. Both sides have a excellent original clean glossy sheen, there are no nasty marks, scuffs or scratches at all, there are only a couple of very light wispy top surface marks, and just a few other light signs of careful play. Both sides play and sound excellent with barely any background noise/crackle to be heard. The labels have basic artist/album details written In biro on side one, and just the number '2' written on the other side. The stamped codes are the earliest possible with '420 1 1 1' clearly machine stamped in the run-offs of both sides. The 'Garrod & Lofthouse' front and back laminated gatefold sleeve Is In excellent condition. The lamination only has a few very small shifts/creases, and also a tiny amount of scuffing to the spine, otherwise this gatefold sleeve Is In nice shape. The vinyl comes In It's plain white paper sleeve with Is excellent with no splits. A near impossible to find original uk 'Scott Walker' rarirty that will only ever surface for sale once In a blue moon. All pictures are of the actual item for sale.
