Description

Doc Hopkins, Doc Hopkins (Birch 1945). Popular in the '30s on WLS as a singer of old-time songs, an associate of the Cumberland Ridge Runners, Doc Hopkins recorded this set of Old World and native American ballads, with his own guitar accompaniment, in 1965 for the John Edwards Memorial Foundation, and it was issued by a short-lived Chicago label in the early '70s.
