Very Rare Official & Original UK 1971 Prog Monster LP on Greenwich Gramophone Co
Gatefold Sleeve has some age wear (light creasing front near opening side, light ring wear, small sticker scuff top right back), nothing serious or structural and is in, real nice, solid VG++ Condition
Vinyl looks VG++, some visual wear but does, in fact, play Excellent. Tiny handwritting on labels.

Recorded in Mar, 1971, this album is not particularly flashy, yet still a spectacularly solid LP, probably among my top five Brit prog albums of all time. The music is mostly medium energy rock with exceptional musicianship on sax, guitar, and keyboards. And their excellent mat'l is psych influenced as well, yielding a welcome ingredient. A respected friend commented they sound a bit like a much less commercial Steely Dan. Grades -VG++/VG++ lite marks, plays excellent
Published The album is very jazzy just like I Spider and the songs are all really good on this album. The eight minutes long closing track "As I Dried the Tears Away" is my favourite song here. Samurai is a really balanced effort but it's still not as powerful LP as I Spider is. Samurai gets a solid four stars rating from me which means the record is really good but it also had potential to be even better
