Vinyl is clean with hairlines, no scratches, plays back clean with a little surface noise in a couple of spots VG+ - Sleeve has some laminate seperation on back side left top/bottom corners, seam split on top right corner, a couple of small surface marks, little yellowing from age, otherwise cover slicks clean and presentable VG+

“If you've seen "Bathtubs Over Broadway" or read "Everything's Coming Up Profits," you know that private pressing "industrial musical" souvenir albums are some of the rarest and weirdest records in existence. These motivational musicals were only for dealers, salesmen, distributors and other industry insiders at sales meetings and conventions, and the souvenir vinyl records were not available to the public. And many of these shows boasted outstanding music and performances along with the bizarre corporate subject matter. This one is "The Seagram Distillers Distributor Meeting," 1965 The weirdly flat title is about the only thing that's off with this dram of high-proof corporate awesomeness, but once you're tuned in to the industrial musicals vibe, you can appreciate the title as just one more element of otherwordliness.It's another primo outing by that top-shelf industrials creative team, Hank Beebe and Bill Heyer. They worked together for nearly 20 years, along the way writing many of the finest examples of this hidden genre: "Diesel Dazzle," "AM Route 66." "Got to Investigate Silicones." If you've seen "Bathtubs Over Broadway," you're no doubt a fan of Hank, my great friend and mentor who's now 95. Here Hank and his late partner Bill were tasked with musically presenting Seagram's who's now 95. Here Hank and his late partner Bill were tasked with musically presenting Seagram's marketina plans as well as celebrating the company's image and heritage, and also driving home the point that the first wave of baby boomers were just hitting drinking age, and now was the time to lock in their brand loyalty.Swaggering, brassy tunes like "Seagram Look," "Brand New Breed," and "Dress Right Dress" will not disappoint... there's a fake Scottish legend set to music burnishes the cachet of their scotch in "100 Pipers"... and side two is The Seagram Symphony in four movements. The '65 advertising campaigns for Crown Royal, VO, Seagram's 7, and Seagram's gin are reviewed in fun, punchy musical numbers with an orchestral performance premise. The show's producer, David Marshall, said initially there hadn't been plans for a souvenir album (which was par for the course with industrial shows). But the response of the audience so enthusiastic that a Seagram exec got up on stage at the end and promised there'd be a record. The next day the orchestra and cast went into a hastily-arranged Miami studio and laid it down in one take. The cast is uncredited, but I think I hear Hal Linden, who did many Beebe/Heyer shows.”

Mint (M)  Absolutely perfect in every way. Never been played and usually sealed.

Near Mint (NM)  The record has been on a shelf

between other records. The vinyl looks glossy and clearly has only been

played a few times. There are no marks on the vinyl and the whole

package is complete.

Excellent (E) Same but I'd tolerate very light

marks where the vinyl has been in and out of the inner sleeve a few

times, or tiny signs of use generally.

Very Good Plus (VG+)  A few further faults are

acceptable, but nothing that really compromises the record visually or

audibly. A little rub, light inaudible marks, a little background

crackle.

Very Good (VG) ? It's seen a bit of life, but is

still usable. Light pops and clicks, an edge split, light visible

scratches. You can still listen to it and enjoy looking at it, but it is

visually and audibly USED.

Good (G) ? To be honest you?re making trouble for

yourself here, as Good means Bad. I?d only be selling something really

desirable in this condition, with a bargain price and a full, no holds

barred description to match.

Poor (P), Fair (F) Attempting to listen will be a

disturbing experience. Expect major noise issues, skipping or repeating.

The record itself is cracked, badly warped and has deep scratches. The

cover is also approaching death.

All items will be well-packaged for International shipping. (I have been

doing this for a long time, and use the golden rule of packaging. I ship

items the way I would like to receive them.)  All items will be shipped

in a poly sleeve with vinyl outside of protective sleeve, with a

cardboard stiffener insert, inside a 200lb test lp mailer.

International buyers will pay for US shipping to the eBay Global Shipping Program

sorting center, plus any additional charges that eBay adds for

International shipping and fees via the Global Shipping Program. The

Global Shipping Program is not currently providing multiple-item

shipping discounts.

FYI: I am using the ebay Global Shipping

Program so that International buyers have access. I have no control over

the GSP rates, which at first may seem a bit high. But please bear in

mind that GSP prices include tracking for International orders. (Because

of past problems, I can no longer ship International eBay transactions

without tracking... and I cannot provide International shipping with

tracking at anything close to the GSP prices. So if you factor in the

tracking, GSP prices are reasonable.) However, if the shipping

rates/fees quoted by eBay are too much for you, please shop elsewhere.
