SAM RIVERS "A New Conception" Blue Note 4249, Mono Vinyl

This is SAM RIVERS "A New Conception" on the "Division of Liberty Records, Inc." labels of Blue Note BLP 4249. Musicians include Sam Rivers, Hal Galper, Herbie Lewis, Steve Ellington.

VINYL plays beautifully, with the exception of a 1/4" scratch on the beginning of Side 1 that sounds for app. 2 minutes. Instruments are clear, clean, dynamic, powerful. Vinyl surface shiny and glossy. No distortion. No locked grooves. No groovewear. No warps. The  "Division of Liberty Records, Inc." labels are clean. See photos.

The COVER is practically perfect, no splits of any kind. Corners a little worn. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 43 West 61st St., New York, NY 10023" back jacket is very clean, with red marker writing. See photos.

   

This LP was play-tested on a high-end system consisting of Music Hall MMF-7.3 turntable/Ortofon Bronze cartridge, Heed Audio Elixir integrated amplifier, Heed Quasar Phono stage and Quad S2 speakers (with very revealing ribbon tweeters). Record cleaned on VPI 16.5.
