On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Sam Gopal called "Escalator" and is an ORIGINAL 1969 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'Textured' Stable label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS EASILY THE RAREST LP ON THE STABLE LABEL - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1969 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION - AND IS STILL A VERY VERY DECENT EXAMPLE INDEED!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1969 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS 'TEXTURED' STABLE LABEL, 1ST PRESS A/B MATRIX ENDINGS, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS GATEFOLD 'FULLY TEXTURED' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Stable UK Pressing from 1969 and is in GREAT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is SLE 8001 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Stable label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos!)!!!!

The record labels are in BRILLIANT condition (see pictures) with NO stickers, NO wear (apart from a TINY 'touched in' trace around 1 centre hole!), NO writing, and some spindle marks to either label!!!!  The vinyl is in GREAT condition!!!!  Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO nasty concentric marks AT ALL, only 3 or 4 VERY light hairlines, only 3 or 4 visible (but NON sounding!) scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  However, as most prog/psych collectors will already know, Stable were a TINY company with little resources - and as with ALL 1st Pressings of this LP (as is well documented), the record was never pressed on the highest quality of vinyl, and so this record does have the usual background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - though this is lost WAY behind the very VERY loud music which still plays BRILLIANTLY!!!!  Most importantly - this LP has NO PRESSING MARKS AT ALL (most 1st Pressings do - due to a manufacturing defect!)!!!!   Other than just mentioned - the record plays with NO skips, only a few VERY light clicks (though mostly NONE!), NO sticks, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must MEGA STRICTLY grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better  - and is still a very VERY decent record indeed!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press Gatefold 'FULLY Textured' Cover is in GREAT condition - and is still a very VERY decent cover indeed, and way WAY better than most!!!!  It has NO edge wear (apart from some almost INVISIBLE 'touching in' traces!), some clear evidence of 'touching in' to the spine, NO splits, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), barely ANY rubbing AT ALL to the cover front, NO sticker tears in the top right corner (most do!), a very VERY hard to spot erasure trace in the top right corner of the front photo (this very VERY hard to notice indeed!), only some VERY slight rubbing to the cover back (way WAY better than most!), only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO annotations, an almost INVISIBLE erasure trace on the face on the cover back (9 out of 10 people wouldnt even notice this!), and NO writing!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the 'textured' inside of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, barely ANY rubbing, a very VERY hard to spot erasure trace on the light shoulder to the left of the track tracklisting (again this is very VERY hard to notice!), NO sticker marks, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - and is a very VERY decent cover indeed - as my pictures clearly show!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
