Description
SABU... Palo Congo... Blue Note 1561 DEEP GROOVE original, with 47 West 63rd St address on label. As seen in the photos here of the actual disc and cover, this is a nice item. The labels are perfect, the disc is a wonderful Very Good... plus. The cover is equally as nice, with the only damage being a spine separation of about 3 inches (seen in the closeup photo) and a minor 2 inch split beginning at the bottom of the cover. Neither extend to the front or back cover, which is blemish free, gorgeous and shiny! Suitable for framing, if you so desired!!! There are no cut out marks, and no ring wear on the cover. Again, cover is graded Very Good plus (with 2 noted seam splits). Usually, as I'm sure you know, Jazz records of any note do NOT turn up clean. This is a nice one, and IS clean. And... it's 50 years old! Once again, I remind you, this is the DEEP GROOVE original.
This is truly a rarity, an Afro-Cuban Latin Jazz lp featuring Congas Bongos, guitar, Bass and vocals. Oh... and a gourd! Featured artists include "SABU" MARTINEZ on conga, bongo and vocals, ARSENIO RODRIGUEZ on conga, guitar and vocals, RAUL "CAESAR" TRAVIESO on conga and vocals, ISRAEL MOISES "QUIQUE" TRAVIESO on conga, RAY "MOSQUITO" ROMERO on conga, EVARISTO BARO on bass, WILLIE CAPO on vocals, and SARA BARO, also on vocals.
