Description

Up for auction is a very nice copy of the Sonny Rollins album "Sonny Boy" released on Prestige Records (PRLP 7207) in 1961.  This is an authentic, original deep groove, mono pressing with RVG in the dead wax.  All correct matching Washington St., Bergenfield, NJ addresses on labels and back album cover.  The cover is in beautiful condition with a nice high gloss, shiny lamination, no defects, no bubbling, no lifting, ring wear, or tears.  Seams are strong, intact, no cracks, no chips, no splits.  Corners generally look sharp, though a couple have very small dings that don't really detract too much from the overall impressive look.  Back cover is bone white, as it should be.  No ring wear, no writing.  A couple of factory control stamps in upper right corner.  I'd grade the cover Near Mint Minus (NM-). The vinyl is in beautiful shape, no signs of scratches, scuffs, or marks.  Retains its original high gloss luster.  Labels are bright and clean, no marks around spindle holes.  Couldn't have been played very much if at all for the last 50 years.  Very few signs of previous handling or play.  I've play tested this record, and it sound fantastic, clean and clear.  One of the nicest copies you'll come across.  I'd grade the vinyl Near Mint.  I bought this record from Fred Cohen, from the famous Jazz Record Center in New York City years ago.  He graded this record Near Mint, and it hasn't changed since then.  No need to ever upgrade this copy. 100% guaranteed, no risk buying.  Money back, no questions asked.  My 100% positive feedback on records speaks for itself.
