Description

Dot DLP-3010, mono, dark red and silver label, deep groove. Procope, alto sax; Remo Biondi, rhythm guitar; Earl Backus, solo guitar; Paul Jordan, piano; Mel Schmidt, bass; Frank Rullo, drums. 11 tracks. A fine showcase for Procope. His style suggest Hodges and Byas. Fine accompaniment particularly the interplay between Biondi and Procope. Cover: VG(-) to VG Entire top edge has split; 8" bottom edge split. Some aging and light soil from handling on the back cover. Record: VG+ to Mint(-) Visually shows light wear with a moderate number of short surface rub marks. In spite of this appearance, there is only a minimum of light, infrequent, clicks. Fine overall sound. I have indicated a VG+ in the grading but this is taking into account the appearance as the surface noise is practically not audible. Audibly checked.
