I’VE BEEN WATCHING YOU/TOO MUCH MONKEY BUSINESS (7”)

(CLARION – MCP0010) (RELEASED 1966)

 

Tough Perth R&B garage beat from Russ Kennedy, and one of two singles released by this combo. Both singles are now scarce and a great window into Perth’s burgeoning band scene of the day.


A side is a rip snorting Garage/Beat pounder with searing guitar break. B side an R&B gem reminiscent of the Kinks version of the Chuck Berry chestnut from their debut album. Another great guitar break too!


This is the original independent pressing as well, prior to Clarion being distributed by the OZ major company, Festival.

 

 

Cover – Generic Paper Sleeve


Record = VG/VG+ – A side looks VG+/B side VG. But play grades VG+. Hairlines, markings, minor scratches. Loud pressing and minimal crackling.


Clarion labels in near EX condition. Minimal spindle wear.

 

 

Overall, plays excellent and a great listen!
