Description

Mobile Fidelity Original Master Recording, opened and played.  Actually I think only side one has been played, twice, with a high end, new, clean cartridge.  Original plastic sleeve has been replaced with a heavier one.  This album is absolutely pristine inside and out.  The surface is quiet and like new, just like the day it was opened.  Stored upright in a dark, dry air conditioned room in a non-smoking home.  Mastered with MoFi's Gain 2 Ultra Analog technology, Special Limited Edition no. 2750.

Comparing this to the Hollywood remastered CD, you will probably find the sound on the LP to be a little meatier, with more weight.  For example, listen to the instrumental section on Freewill - the groove between Lee's bass and Peart's low drums comes out much better.  There is less weight and/or more midrange energy on the CD and it can tend toward sounding a little tinny in comparison.  Lee's vocals don't suffer in either mix, but overall the mix on the LP suits their music better.  And of course you don't want the original CD in either case.  More here:
