Description
Exit…Stage Left is Rush at full power — huge, precise, and absolutely locked in.
This 2LP live set pulls from one of the strongest stretches in the band’s entire career, with The Spirit of Radio, Red Barchetta, YYZ, Tom Sawyer, La Villa Strangiato, Closer to the Heart and more. It’s the sound of Rush taking insanely technical music and making it feel massive, immediate, and effortless on stage.
This is an original 1981 U.S. first pressing on Mercury, catalog SRM-2-7001, from the early HRM/Hauppauge pressing family. The runouts carry MASTERDISK mastering, with RL on the Ludwig-cut sides — exactly the kind of detail Rush collectors look for.
The gatefold package and original-era mastering make this the version that feels right for the album. Not just a copy of Exit…Stage Left — a proper early U.S. pressing with the mastering pedigree to match the music.
If you want Rush sounding enormous, muscular, and completely in command of the stage, this is one of the best live records they ever made.
