Description

DESCRIPTION:  Rolling Stones - Their Satanic Majesties Request LP.  Complete 1st MONO UK press with machine stamped matrix ending T2-3K/T2-2K indicating this is actually a stereo fold down rather than mono mix. Laminated lenticular gatefold sleeve, deep groove unboxed labels and psychedelic red flames printed inner.
LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Decca TXL.103
YEAR OF RELEASE: 1967.
COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK:
CONDITION (VINYL/SLEEVE): F/VG+.  Vinyl is clean with a lot of hairlines, surface lines and brushing lines.  Played all of this a few times recently on my budget deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Plays with fairly intrusive ticks throughout. Its still listenable. It has no skips but sticks once during "Sing This All Together" which will give you a more authentic 1960s listening experience ie you will need to get off your ass and lift the needle across a touch. Cover is in really nice clean condition.  It is firm and square and has light to moderate edge wear , moderate corner wear and only light creasing. Very clean inside to gatefold, no writing or pen trails through the maze.  Good shape retained to fully legible spine. Delicate psychedelic inner is intact and in clean condition with only one 2" split to centre of bottom edge and 3-4 short tears to opening edge. Clean labels- check out the photos. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears.
GRADING SYSTEM: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades.
I am just starting to sell off my very extensive record collection, built up over 40 years. I have hundreds of rarities in fantastic condition from many genres including blues, punk, metal, britpop, progressive, kraut, classic and hard rock. Almost all of the records i list will be in at least VG+ condition. The only exceptions would be some extremely rare records. PLEASE ADD ME TO YOUR FAVOURITE SELLERS LIST.
