Rolling Stones. Their Satanic Majesties.1967 UK Mono 1st Press. P1, 1P\ matrix!!
Earliest P1, 1P\ matrices. later Mono pressings all end in 'K'!!! The corrected forward slash [\] after 1P lasted about a week!
Historical note: When this record was first pressed, the matrix endings on Mono pressings only were mistakenly ended in 1P/P1!!!! This was completely incorrect. They were supposed to end in P1/P1 instead! Almost immediately after pressing began a tiny etched '\' was added for a very short while to '1P' matrix on side 1.
Vinyl: Nothing major. Hairlines on both sides and some scuffs and scratches. Grade a conservative VG+.
Cover: EX. Beautiful. Robust. Thick and solid. Very little creasing. Nice spine (small stub in picture) Lush laminate. [see pix]
Labels: EX. Some spindling on both sides. Some blue spotting on side 2 [see pix]
Earliest Stampers: Side 1:1K, Side 2:1B1 {think this is what it reads - both definitely stamper '1' on both sides]
Matrix: Side 1: ARL-8126 - 1P \. Side 2 : ARL-8127.P1 [see pix]
KT tax code on both sides
Inner: Original Red Mono Inner: Some creasing of paper. [see pix]
