Description
This is an auction of SUPER RARE Rolling Stones Satanic Majesties Request - UK DECCA TXL-103 MONO 1st Pressing with RARE UNCORRECTED P1 MATRIX numbers and 3-D Lenticular cover - 1st pressing 1967 DG deep grooved “unboxed” blue with silver lettering labels with “full frequency range recording ffrr and the “ear” logo. Matrix on side 1 is ARL-8126-P1, on side 2 is ARL-8127-P1 = These were changed in later pressings. Record is visually graded as VG+ with many light hairlines and some heavier marks but PLAY GRADED VG++ with minimal background noise. Side 1 label has a small, light stain on left. Laminated cover is VG++ with slight edge wear, slight wear at lower left corner tip, slight laminate lifting at upper left side, usual light scratches on 3-D lenticular front, a 3” split at bottom right edge. Includes original red inner sleeve with some yellowed tape on 1 seam and a tear at one corner.
A very rare item and a great addition to any serious Rolling Stones collection.
