Description

Absolutely first rate copy of this fine 1965 post bop / free jazz blast with The Roland Kirk Quartet, featuring Roland Kirk (Tenor sax, manzello, stretch, castanets and siren), Jaki Byard (piano), Richard Davis (bass) and Elvin Jones (drums), recorded at Engelwood, New Jersey, on 13 January 1965.
This is the UK mono first pressing on Mercury, part of the Limelight Series.
The sleeve is far more pristine than any 58-year-old record sleeve has any right to be - some minor bumping to one corner, and a couple of age spots on the back cover. That's it. A stunner.
The vinyl is very similar - I doubt it's had more than a handful of plays. Whisper quiet and barely even a hairline on it.
The black and silver `Mercury labels are also pristine.
Comes with a plain white lined inner sleeve from the era in VG+ order.
You'll really struggle to find a better copy than this.
Questions? Need more photos? Ask away - I'm always happy to help :)
Postage and Packing: UK £4.75 (2nd Class Signed For), Europe £14.50, Rest of World £25 (both tracked)
