Notes:  Rodriguez was a band out of San Luis Obispo, California that featured Matt Ward (now known as M. Ward), Kyle Field (Little Wings) and Mike Funk (who later drummed for For Stars).  This was their very first release and is quite rare (250 copies? pressed on heavy audiophile-quality vinyl).  You don't believe this is rare?  There are only 2 mentions of this EP on the entire internet (one being the wikipedia article for the band).  If you are a fan of Little Wings and M. Ward, you may have been searching for this 7" for a long time.  This record is in NM condition and comes with the 7"x7" insert composed in Kyle's handwriting.  The style of the music is more akin to the minutemen, with Matt's guitar much more ferocious and hard-jazz than his current style.  Likewise Kyle is much more post-punk with a heavy debt to Mike Watt on bass and his vocals are a bit more edgy than the freak-folk style of Little Wings. There are four songs:  Carla's Social Scene, Little Pioneer, Watered Down, and Chiefs + Engines (which was Matt's very first song he sang on record).  The cover and record labels are done in Kyle's unmistakable art design.
