Description
Here is your opportunity to own the first Rock N' Roll record. It was recorded in 1951 by Sam Phillips of Sun Studios. Although the song was credited to Jackie Brenston and His Delta Cats it was actually performed by Ike Turners band, Ike Turner & his Kings of Rhythm. Ike is on piano in this recording and Jackie Brenston was his sax player. Needless to say Ike was more than a little upset when Chess gave credit to Jackie Brenston. As for condition you probably will not find a nicer copy then this one. It looks very good plus to near mint and plays near mint Side one is "Rocket 88" and side two is "Come Back Where You Belong". The labels are mint. I have noticed on Ebay that someone is starting his copy of Rocket 88 for a cool half million. I'm starting this jewel at $99.00.
