Description
This studio album by Rhythm Devils contains music recorded for the soundtrack of the film Apocalypse Now. Rhythm Devils is a percussion based ensemble led by Grateful Dead drummers Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, at the time of the recording the band also included GD bassist Phil Lesh. This is an intense album that artfully conveys the beauty and terror of the jungle in which the movie is set. Director Francis Ford Coppola personally asked Mickey Hart to provide the underscore for his 1979 movie Apocalypse Now, featuring tones of death and war.
The sleeve is slit in 3 places but record is still contained. Cover shows wear from age and sliding on shelves, I did not list as a promo however it was given to us by the JEM Records Rep and does have the small cut on the cover spine.
