Description
Respighi---Pines Of Rome---Lorin Maazel---The Cleveland Orch. UHQR---Japan pressing.
IF SOMEONE FINALLY BIDS ON THIS LP YOU ALSO HAVE TO BID ON "CHURCH WINDOWS".
I'll make you a deal...Win this auction and offer me $5 for "Windows" (also by Respighi and another audiophile pressing) and I'll accept your offer. You will have to pay shipping for both but I'll ship them together and keep the change.
Two great pieces of music on audiophile recordings for the price of a tank of gas.
LP---VG+---Test played both Sides and sounds great. There are many quiet passages in this piece with some minor surface noise in a very few spots.. However I consider the vinyl to be better than my VG+ grading. Cover---VG+ Inserts---VG
I guess I just do not understand LP collectors. I always thought that you buy a record to listen to it. I listed this UHQR last because it was the one I wasn't sure that I wanted to sell. It's a very interesting piece of music. Maybe not to dance to unless you're dancing in your head! Anyway, I've lowered my opening bid by $30 and changed shipping to Media Mail to save even more and the State doesn't need to Tax what I've already paid taxes on. Makes me want to quit E-Bay.
And what's wrong with Reference Recordings? The other Respighi I have listed sounds fantastic!
I've never played these UHQRs even though I've had them for years. 3 were recorded to DAT which I also have. This LP came from my brother's collection. He had 5 of the seven UHQR titles released and guess what he did?
HE THREW AWAY THE EXTERNAL BOXES!!!
You get what's in the pictures.
I wasn't planning to list this one but it is the last of the five so why not?
I have to up my opening bid on this one.
So you have a shot at getting an excellent copy at probably one fifth the price.
I'm also listing Respighi's "Church Windows" on the Reference Recordings label. It's a 45 RPM LP and it also sounds great if not as good as this UHQR.
In the meantime, bid on this LP and watch my other auctions coming up. I plan on listing many more LPs and maybe some reel to reel tapes.
THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK!
My grading system: There is No Mint or Mint- in my grading. Nothing is perfect in this reality so VG+ is as high as I go.
That means that you just bought this LP and opened it without playing it!. VG+---No damage, no smudges and perfect sound. VG---Maybe slight surface noise but still "like new". G---A playable LP with surface noise, some pops but no skips and worthy of a serious collection. G-/---Basically the same as G but RARE and will only be listed when playable without distortion.
The same grading will go with Covers and inserts and will be described in detail.
ABOUT FEEDBACK. I WILL LEAVE POSITIVE FEEDBACK AS SOON AS YOUR END IS COMPLETED.
I don't wait for you first so if you're pleased with your auction let me know.
