Reiner & The Chicago and Janigro on cello - Strauss DON QUIXOTE - Soria Box Rca LLS-2384 - VERY, VERY FINE & EXTREMELY RARE!

There is no better interpreter of Strauss than Reiner, and this, without question, is his best QUIXOTE.

Note, too, Janigro played here with Janos Starker at first chair. (Quite a thought, that.)

And, yes, this is the LLS, first issue, of which there were only 200 ever made.

It is a Shaded Dog in very decent shape; platter playing VG+, perhaps better, with only mat scuffing in evidence. Box, the clothbound kind, has the back face missing because the glue let go, leaving the corner with a touch of "flip" (see photo, and that spot that seems to be cleaned); otherwise, very presentable.

Booklet and original inner sleeve are fine, no major fault. (All booklet art by Picasso, by the way.)

A classic of vinyl literature...and the very first LLS issue I have ever seen.
