Description
This LP needs no introduction to the Stone Roses obsessive.
This is a rare copy of the first ever Stone Roses vinyl bootleg (rushed out in the aftermath of the release of their 1st album). It consists of otherwise unreleased early demos and session recordings. As such, they have a very raw authentic sound. It includes an otherwise unreleased track (I can’t remember which one it is - maybe “Trust a Fox”?), plus the original version of “Elephant Stone” (with different lyrics to the version eventually released on Silvertone), and a version of “Shoot you Down” which uses a drum machine in place a a real drummer.
I bought this back in 1990 from a little stall in Camden Market (back in the days when Camden Market was still an OK place to visit).
As for the condition, I played this LP on maybe 3 occasions, then filed it away at the back of my collection where it has languished ever since. Suffice to say that I really looked after my record collection, so both record and sleeve are in NM condition. There are no details on the labels, both of which have some age-related discolouration but are otherwise clean and show no spindle marks.
I’ve also posted a copy of the ‘Live at the ICA’ bootleg (check my listings for details).
