Description
Up for auction is a highly collectible pair of original 1980s Japanese 7-inch vinyl singles from the king of parody, "Weird Al" Yankovic. Weird Al takes on Michael Jackson and Madonna at their peaks of popularity with parodies of Beat It (“Eat It” and Like a Virgin “Like a Surgeon.” Also a fun parody of Cindy Lauper’s Girls just Wanna Have Fun (“Girls Just Want to Have Lunch.”) These imports are tough to find in the West, especially in such pristine audio condition.
What’s Included:
1. Eat It" / "That Boy Could Dance" (1984)** * Label: Rock 'N' Roll Records / Scotti Brothers (7Y0059) * Special Feature: Rare Japanese Promo Release with original company insert sleeve.
2. Like A Surgeon" / "Girls Just Want to Have Lunch" (1985)** * Label: Rock 'N' Roll Records / Scotti Brothers (7Y0089) * Special Feature: Features the iconic medical surgery parody cover artwork.
Condition Grading (Goldmine Standard): Both discs are incredibly clean, retaining their full original glossy luster. Virtually no signs of use, no hairline marks, and no visible scuffs. They look unplayed. The graphic inserts and sleeves are crisp with excellent color preservation. They show only light signs of age/handling, minor ring indentation from storage, and minimal wrinkling. No heavy creases, splits, or ink markings. This is a fantastic bundle for any serious vinyl collector or "Weird Al" superfan looking to upgrade their collection with high-grade, hard-to-find foreign pressings.
