Description

This one-of-a-kind LP was sent to me from Sun Ra himself in 1977. I was living in Los Angeles and making a documentary for PBS on a test Space Shuttle flight. I tried to get Ra to come out and play at the Griffith Observatory. He agreed and sent me this and several other albums. Budget got cut and his participation did not happen.
Ra may have hand-lettered and hand-colored the label himself. Album was sent in plain green sleeve with no decoration. Vinyl in excellent shape. No scratches.
Appears to be some form of what was later released as the 1978 Saturn album "The Antique Blacks," but has other tunes.
Matrix  on one side only "Sun Ra 817714 B
Side 2 has separate green/black hand-lettering, hand-coloring.
