This is the same copy that we auctioned last September. Unfortunately the winning bidder could not complete the transaction. His loss is someone else's gain...

Here it is (again)! Possibly the most sought after Northern Soul single out there right now - there are only a handful of known copies. Stock copies and masters melted in a warehouse -- producer, label, band have all been contracted and no one has copies. Might be your last chance to get this one.

 Tommy Tate sings lead, with Dorothy Moore on backups... Don't Play the Role is the song, but Handy Andy's great too!

Matrix: ZtSB 111031-1A and ZtSB 111032-1A

Record grades VG, gold labels show some faint ringwear and there is a small tear off the hole above "the" on the A-side. Vinyl still has pretty good gloss, but has a lot of light surface scratches and scuffs. It plays much better than VG, loud and clear, with very minor surface noise, nothing constant. There is one little pop before the music starts on the B-side - you can hear it in the audio track - but nothing significant during play on either side.  

 Check audio clips of both sides for yourself. All clips recorded directly from the vinyl, no effects added. It's not ideal (it really magnifies minor defects that often are not audible in regular playback) but should give you a general idea of play condition of the record.

This record was pretty much unknown until early 2008. Two other copies of this record in this condition surfaced and sold over the past year. Reserve is set about half of the sale prices of those two - so we should clear that pretty easily.

A Note on Packing: We pack our records carefully in sturdy new boxes and we use cardboard inserts.

Return Policy: If you are unhappy with your item - let us know. This doesn't happen often, but when it does we take it seriously. You can return it for full credit within seven days of receiving the item.

RECORD GRADING

 We grade conservatively, and aim to describe the records accurately. We grade visually according to Goldmine standards, with the addition of an Excellent (VG++ or E)grade for the hazy grey area between Near Mint and VG+. This grade applies to records with one minor flaw that makes it no longer Near Mint, but still above VG+.
