Description

At The Cafe Bohemia!

Art Blakey was one of the most enduring figures in jazz.  From the dawn of bebop to the 1970's and beyond, the list of stars that Blakey nurtured is enormous.  For your consideration, we are offering a copy of The Jazz Messengers At The Cafe Bohemia Vol. 1 Blue Note #1507.  This original cover grades a very pleasing VG++.  It has the original shrink wrap. The only flaws are the original inventory sticker in the upper left corner and light signs of dirt on the cover from contact with other covers which would easily clean off, but there's really no need to.

The album grades a strong VG++/NM with only one inconsequential surface mark. RVG is stamped in the deadwax. It has the Lexington Ave., address and is deep grooved on both sides. This combination appears to be really tough because out of a 80+ collection of Bluenotes, this was the only Lexington Ave. deep grooved that was in it.  Bid accordingly!

This album comes from a collection that sat for forty years and was seldom if ever played. Thanks for looking and good luck!
