Description
From 1969, comes the ultra-rare boxed set byThe Kinks entitled God Save The Kinks on Reprise PRO328. This boxed set was sold through the mail in limited quantities (less than 1000)and very few survived. Even fewer copies have all the inserts intact! These inserts include: a God Save The Kinks postcard, a Consumers Guide To The Kinks, a 2 page letter about The Kinks not being quite what Reprise had anticipated written by Hal Halverstadt,(the editorial director for Warner Brothers Seven Arts Records), a God Save The Kinks pin-button, the ultra-rare Union Jack pin(always missing), the album cover puzzle for The Kinks Or The Village Green Preservation Society slick and a bag of dried grass with staples sealing it intact with a large brown and green sticker on the bag reading Official Souvenier From The Daviesland Village Green. Also contains the Then Now And In-Between LP, plus the rare box with the decal applied to the front cover. Brown spotting on front cover and on letter. The four corners are intact and three are sharp but one is slightly banged, there is a small split in the middle of the right hand side and light brown spotting on the rear cover. Small seam split on the record enclosed-middle of bottom where record started to go through sleeve. The only box I've seen with ALL the inserts. All of the inserts are mint minus except for the letter (brown spotting) and that is VG++. VG++ box, record and inserts are all mint minus.
