Record: Beautiful! Looks & plays Mint- / VPI cleaned / By the spindle hole it looks like one side of this LP may have been played once.
COMMENTS: Absolutely beautiful copy of this rare & Mint French Disques Ocora LP. It is a fantastic package that comes in a gorgeous cloth covered gatefold sleeve w/ gold embossed lettering on the front cover which also features a stunning laminated color photo that is applied to the front cover. It also includes an attached 12 page full sized booklet that features liner notes in both French & English w/ great black & white photos. This volume features Les Dogon tribe from Mali performing traditional funeral ritual music.
I recently acquired a nice collection of rare African and World titles on the Disques Ocora, Unesco / Baren Reiter Musicaphon, Anthology, Folkways labels, as well as other labels. I will be listing them in the weeks & months to come.
NOTE: VPI cleaned means that this record was cleaned on a professional $500 cleaning machine, which does wonders for the playback of all vinyl records!
